Sport Design Australia has announced nominations for the inaugural 2024 Sport Design Australia Awards are now open, created to recognise creative and design excellence in sport.

The first edition of the Sport Design Australia Awards will focus on recognising sports creatives and giving creatives a place to showcase their work and an opportunity for the community to grow and learn.

The awards are given across 16 categories distinguished by Team, Creator, and MVP.

“When we started Sport Design Australia, we set out to be more than a problem solver for sporting brands. Sports creatives haven’t seen the recognition they deserve for their craft, and beyond the work itself, it’s also an acknowledgment of everything that goes on behind the scenes,” said Ryan Ellul, CEO and co-founder of Sport Design Australia.

“We are driven by our passion to lead the industry in celebrating excellence in sports creative and design. We have seen platforms rise and fall, but one thing remains constant; the best teams, players, leagues, and organisations excel by creating exceptional content that captivates and engages. That’s why we’re so excited to launch the first edition of the Sport Design Australia Awards,” he added.

The Awards are free to enter and there are no limits to the number of categories entered.

Entries will close on 18 October 2024 and winners will be announced the week commencing 11 November 2024. Judging will be conducted by an expert panel, drawn from across the industry, who will bring their design and social media expertise to select the finalists and winners.

Sport Design Australia was founded by sport industry brand creatives Ryan Ellul, Cassandra Wilkins, and Reece Carter with a combined 30 years of experience.
