Nine’s Today Host Allison Langdon Mysteriously Loses An Arm In Mega PR Photoshop Fail

It’s been a tough 2020 for Nine’s Today team. Regularly roughed-up in the ratings battle with arch-nemesis Sunrise, entertainment reporter Richard Wilkins coming down with coronavirus, and news this week that the ABC’s News Breakfast is now pulling more viewers.

To compound the breakfast show’s difficulties, it appears host Allison Langdon has lost a rather important appendage – her right arm!

Fear not, it’s not been some cruel amputation, rather a wonderful bungling by Nine’s PR team who issued a rather strange press photo of Langdon and co-host Karl Stefanovic with Langdon’s arm mysteriously photoshopped out of the image.

B&T contacted Nine, who declined to comment further.

The dodgy photo first appeared in the Nine-owned Sydney Morning Herald on Wednesday as part of an article on TV breakfast show ratings.

It went completely unnoticed until some wag at the Kyle and Jackie O show noticed it and posted it to its social media.

Thankfully, Langdon saw the funny side, responding to the post: “It’s been a tough week.”

Adding insult to injury, the armless press photo also appears to contravene Nine’s own directive that its stars practice 1.5-metre social distancing.
