Melbourne-founded social-first agency Melbourne Social Co (MSC) has added three senior hires as it expands its client portfolio and looks to build a national presence.
Sophie Martin joins as senior account strategist, Meg McGlone as senior account director and Rasha Davis as senior project manager.
McGlone will be based on the Gold Coast, marking MSC’s first senior hire outside Melbourne as it looks to strengthen its presence across the east coast.
The appointments come as the agency takes on the Ascott Group’s Australian hotel portfolio, spanning lyf, Quest and Citadines, and expands its work across brands including SkinKandy, Bonds, WhiteGlo and City Fertility.
MSC founder and director Shelley Friesen said the hires would support the agency as it scales.
“Meg’s appointment on the Gold Coast is a real marker of intent – we’re no longer just a Melbourne agency with national clients, we’re building a genuinely national team,” Friesen said.
Martin joins from New Zealand agency MBM, while McGlone brings extensive agency experience alongside a recent in-house stint at a haircare brand.
Davis joins from Waterman Group, bolstering MSC’s project management capabilities as its workload grows.
The appointments also support MSC’s efforts to build its national and global capabilities alongside sister agency ATTN CTRL.
