After more than two and a half years at Dentsu Creative, Zac Pritchard is jumping ship to the indie side, joining Howatson+Company as executive creative director.
Pritchard joined Dentsu Creative Australia in April 2024, and was promoted to executive creative director a year ago, before making the move.
“I’m very, very jazzed to be joining the team at Howatson+Company,” Pritchard shared on LinkedIn this afternoon.
“Excited to get stuck into some amazing work across a range of ambitious and interesting clients. A big thank you to Chris, Richard, Renee and Holly, I can’t wait to get started.”
Pritchard’s return to Australia and Dentsu in 2024 followed five years in New York, where he worked at mcgarrybowen, Energy BBDO and AKQA.
Earlier in his career, Pritchard also held roles at BWM Dentsu, Havas and CHEP, where he worked with both Howatson+Company founder and CEO Chris Howatson and Dentsu Creative chief practice officer David Halter.
Now, he’ll be bringing that mix of local and international experience to Howatson+Co, as the indie adds another senior creative to its ranks.
Commenting on his departure, Halter told B&T: “This is the second agency innings Zac and I have completed together, and the good news is we’re still friends. He’s made a great contribution to DC, bringing ambition, care and a determination to make the work better. We wish him every success with Rich, Renee, Howie and the H&Co team.”
“We have real strength and depth in our creative department, and we look forward to sharing news about our creative leadership in Australia very shortly,” he added.
