Nicole Sheffield has left her role as managing director of Westfarmers’ retail loyalty program business, OneDigital.
OneDigital CTO Leah Balter has been appointed to now lead OneDigital at Westfarmers, the WA headquartered conglomerate that owns Bunnings, Kmart, Target and Officeworks.
“Leah’s experience and track record in senior divisional and group roles mean she is ideally suited to support the next phase of growth in OneDigital. There are opportunities to offer customers an even more rewarding omnichannel experience, while accelerating the use of data analytics and AI to drive growth and efficiency,” Wesfarmers managing director Rob Scott said.
Sheffield is a well-respected industry leader, serving as the former chief digital officer of News Corp, chair of IAB Australia and chair of the ABC’s Advisory Council. She has also held senior roles at Australia Post and the Australian Retailers Association.
Scott said Sheffield had made a significant contribution to the group since her appointment in November 2021.
“Nicole has played a pivotal role in our Group-wide data and digital strategy, including the launch and development of the OnePass membership program and the Group’s shared data platform, as well as helping establish the Group retail media network,” he said.
“Nicole’s leadership and drive has helped to develop valuable assets and capabilities, supporting our retail and health divisions and delivering a more rewarding omnichannel experience to customers. We thank Nicole for her hard work and dedication, and wish her well in the next phase of her career.”
Balter will start this month and will report directly to Scott.
