Young Australian of the Year and ultramarathon nut Nedd Brockmann has said that young people can see the way charities work isn’t necessarily working.
Straight after his remarkable keynote session, B&T, with the help of our friends at News Australia, grabbed Brockmann to get his latest take on the charity sector.
“There’s a lot of young people who are seeing that the way a lot of charities are working isn’t working, especially in the homelessness space,” he told News’ Ruby Randall.
“A lot of people who really want to do good are limited by funding and really want to help those who are really struggling on the street.”
Brockmann’s charitable feats are nothing short of incredible, from running across Australia to running 1,000 miles non-stop around a track.
If anyone knows about making things happen in the third sector, it’s Brockmann.
