The Monkeys has announced the appointment of award-winning creative director Ben Sampson to its team.

Sampson returns to Sydney after a year-and-a half stint in San Francisco working as a creative director at Argonaut. Prior to that, Sampson was a director at Idea Gallery, a creative collective working with innovative agencies and brands from Sydney to Dublin.

Sampson is the founding partner of creative hot shop Happy Soldiers, as well as the co-founder of Sydney’s first and largest online fixed-price florist, Little Flowers.

The Monkeys co-founder and chief creative officer Scott Nowell said: “Ben’s won all the industry awards, worked with the world’s biggest brands and has had great success in different creative ventures.

“He’s one of the industry’s most innovative and entrepreneurial thinkers, which suits our culture to a tee.”
