Melbourne-based social-first creative agency, Melbourne Social Co, has announced shift in its education platform, The Social Co Academy and launched a new campaign titled “Ambition Should Be Accessible.”
In response to growing economic pressures, the agency has reduced the Academy’s monthly investment from $149 to $29. This move is designed to remove barriers to growth and open access to high-quality social media education.
Demand is growing for professionals who can combine creative strategy with AI-enabled content, analytics and platform expertise, making upskilling in this area a clear priority for marketers, creators and small business owners.
Alongside the new pricing model, Melbourne Social Co has introduced The Ambition Fund. It is a grants initiative that will provide 20 fully funded memberships to individuals ready to grow their careers or businesses but who may not have the means to invest.
The fund will support ten small business owners and ten university students.
Founder and director Shelley Friesen said: “This wasn’t a commercial decision first – it was a community decision. We’re in a position where we can support more people, and right now, that feels more important than anything else.”
“Small business owners and emerging talent are driving so much of the economy and culture, but they’re often under the most pressure. If we can play even a small role in backing them, that’s something we’re really proud of.”
Brooke Remoundos, Social Co Academy participant said: “The Social Co Academy has taught me so many practical skills for starting my career in Social Media Marketing and Content Creation and the consistent support from the team has allowed me to gain so much more confidence in myself and my abilities. It has been so integral in getting me to where I am now in my career!”
The Social Co Academy offers ongoing education, trend insights, coaching, and community support designed to help members build content that performs and drives real business outcomes.
