Kayo SPORTS and SailGP have inked a new multi-year broadcast agreement, extending its partnership that began in 2019. Under the renewed deal, fans can watch every race across every location, of the Rolex SailGP Championship live and on demand on Kayo SPORTS and Foxtel.
The renewed agreement solidifies long-term access for Aussie fans to growing global sports events, ensuring all SailGP races are available live and on demand. It also affirms Australia’s status as a key market for the championship, with local events and high-profile team ownership driving interest and engagement.
The 2026 Season will open with two events this summer, the Oracle Perth Sail Grand Prix from January 17 to 18, and the KPMG Sydney Sail Grand Prix from February 28 to March 1. Led by Australian sailor and olympic gold medallist Tom Slingsby, and with Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds joining the team as co-owners, Australia’s Bonds Flying Roos are set to compete against the world on Kayo SPORTS.
“Our partnership with SailGP has gone from strength to strength over the past six years, driven by a shared vision to bring Australian audiences closer to the action of the sports they love,” said Foxtel Group head of content acquisitions Marissa Banu-Lawrence.
“Together, we’ve grown SailGP’s presence in Australia, connecting audiences closely to the speed, skill, and spectacle of the Championship through our coverage on Kayo SPORTS. With the inaugural Perth Sail Grand Prix set to launch the 2026 Championship season, our renewed partnership will continue to build on that momentum as we look to connect even more fans to all the action of the world’s fastest race on water.”
“Australia remains a flagship market for SailGP, with events in Perth and Sydney and a team that embodies the competitiveness and spirit that define our league. We’re thrilled to continue this partnership with Kayo Sports and can’t wait to see the energy that the inaugural Oracle Perth Sail Grand Prix presented by KPMG will bring to the new season,” added SailGP CEO and co-founder Sir Russell Coutts.
Founded by Sir Russell Coutts and Larry Ellison, SailGP brings together national teams racing in identical 50-foot foiling catamarans at speeds of more than 100 km/h.
