Acast has announced a new multi-year partnership with podcast, It’s A Lot with Abbie Chatfield. The show brings more than 500,000 monthly listens to Acast.
Hosted by media personality Abbie Chatfield, It’s A Lot has grown into a culturally powerful platform for young Australians, combining candid conversations, social commentary and high-profile guests – including Prime Minister Anthony Albanese during the federal election.
Since launching in 2020, It’s A Lot has amassed nearly 40 million total downloads and hit 1.2 million listens during its peak month in 2025.
Chatfield was named one of Australia’s most influential podcasters in the Australian Financial Review Power List. Across social platforms, she has amassed a combined following of more than 1.4 million, including 720,000 followers on TikTok, 580,000 followers on Instagram, and 113,000 followers on the It’s A Lot Instagram account.
Chatfield first rose to prominence on the seventh season of The Bachelor Australia in 2019, before appearing on Bachelor in Paradise Australia and winning I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in 2021. She has since hosted Love Island Afterparty Australia, FBoy Island Australia on Binge, Hot Nights with Abbie Chatfield across SCA’s Hit Network, and joined The Masked Singer Australia as a panellist.
Chatfield will appear at Cairns Crocodiles on Thursday 14 May, in conversation with fellow Acast creators Osman Faruqi and Jan Fran detailing “The Great Media Breakaway”. Chatfield is set to life the lid on her podcasting journey and dive further into this new partnership. No doubt she’ll spill a few unfiltered takes along the way.

“I’m beyond excited to be back home working on It’s A Lot with Acast. I started my podcasting journey in 2019 at Acast with 0 listens, an at-home podcast set up and dodgy editing skills and I’m so thrilled to be working together once again,” commented Chatfield. “This marks a pivotal moment in my podcasting career as I am taking my own podcasting business, taking my production into my own hands and going independent with the support of Acast sales. This is a perfect partnership for my next endeavour and I’m honoured to re-join the Acast family.”
“We loved working with Abbie when she launched It’s A Lot and it’s been incredible watching her stratospheric rise over the last five years. It’s great to be able to welcome her home as one of Australia’s most authentic and influential voices. By returning to Acast, It’s A Lot becomes a truly independent format. Abbie gets full commercial and creative control, and brands get a chance to integrate deeply with the community she has built, across all of the channels where Abbie shows up for them,” added Guy Scott-Wilson, content director for Acast ANZ
Through the partnership, Acast will host, distribute and monetise It’s A Lot globally, connecting advertisers with a highly engaged, culturally influential audience.
