GroupM’s head of marketing technology Matt Doherty has left the business after seven years to join digital agency Venntifact as associate director, marketing technology.
Speaking to B&T, Venntifact co-founder and executive director – technology & enablement Joey Nguyen said Doherty’s skills will help the agency prepare for life after cookies.
“I’m super excited to have him on board given his extensive data, adtech and martech experience. His deep knowledge around consent, privacy and the cookieless future is exactly what our clients are looking for right now,” he said.
GroupM chief technology and transformation officer Ryan Menezes thanked Doherty for his time with the company.
“We wish Matt well in his new role, and thank him for his contribution over the past seven years,” he said.
For GroupM, replacing Doherty will now be part of the process of growing Choreograph, a new global ethical data company advising on privacy-first solutions for marketers.
“As GroupM continues to expand and invest in our MarTech, Adtech and Identity solutions we are actively recruiting for a senior leader to accelerate capabilities and grow the team,” said Menezes.
“This is a unique opportunity to play a lead architect role in launching and scaling the Choreograph business here in Australia. Choreograph helps our clients’ first party data take centre stage, enabling future identity solutions that drive business growth and authentic creative and consumer experiences that improve media and marketing effectiveness.
“We are uniquely placed to help our clients do amazing things in this space and it’s an exciting time to join the business.”
GroupM is currently in recruitment process for the vacated role.
