Shaun Glover.

Mamamia has welcomed former staffer Shaun Glover to the role of Operations Director.

Shaun brings experience from roles in Ad Ops as programmatic lead with the Australian Radio Network and Conversant Media. He was previously head of commercial operations and trading at Mamamia for 5 years, then most recently sales systems and automation senior manager at Cartology.

As Mamamia’s operations director, Shaun is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the company, overseeing processes and systems to ensure the team are able to spend time on their most meaningful work.

Shaun joins a growing roster of Mamamia returnees bringing experience from across media and other industries, in Australia and worldwide, back to Australia’s largest independent publisher.

Commenting on his new role, Glover said: “It’s great to be back. So much is familiar, but it’s the changes that are seriously impressive. The way automation is being adopted, the level of collaboration across the business, and the professionalism and speed of production across brands, are ahead of anything I’ve seen in the sector in my time,” Shaun said.

“The energy here is incredible, I’m loving the enthusiasm. It’s fantastic to be back working here, and in this sort of environment, again.”

Welcoming Shaun back to the team, Mamamia CEO Luca Lavigne said the business has long prided itself on being a training ground many of the industry’s best have come through, and on the calibre of people who make their start with Mamamia.

“Shaun ran our commercial operations for five years, then went and built sales systems and automation for one of the biggest retail media businesses in the country. Bringing that back to Mamamia was an easy call.

“His job is to make the business run so the rest of the team can spend their time on the work only they can do,” Lavigne added.

Shaun Glover commenced the role in late September.
