Government Recalls 40,000 Carlton Dry Beer Slabs With Glass Shard Concern

The Food Standards Australia and New Zealand authority has announced the recall of 40,000 of the Carlton Dry product in 355ml glass bottles with screw top closures.

“The recall is due to the possible presence of glass in product,” the Food Standards authority said in a release.

The beers have been recalled from Coles, Woolworths, liquor stores, Metcash/IGA (BWS, Dan Murphy’s, First Choice, Liquor Land etc.), other independents & on premise liquor outlets (bars, pubs, clubs, restaurants and hotels) nationally.

The beers marked ‘best before’ 19th July and 20th of 2016 have been recalled.

Carlton & United Breweries (CUB) is the second largest brewing company in Australia, its biggest products include Victoria Bitter, Crown Lager, Carlton Draught and Cascade.
