Famed Mexican beer brand Corona may have had a torrid couple of years after it got mistakenly caught-up in a certain global pandemic. However, all that appears behind it via a bright and sunny new campaign for its new no-alcohol beer called Sunbrew that apparently comes with a healthy dose of Vitamin D too.
The new work, via creative agency David Miami, follows a similar theme to most Corona beer ads – beach, sun and pretty young people. The ad was shot in Costa Rica.
It was directed by Juan Cabral whose most famous ad includes the wonderful Cadbury Gorilla spot from 2007. The spot uses stop motion graphics to give it a cooler, tripper vibe, aided by the spot’s theme song, Donovan’s 1967 track “The Tinker and the Crab”.

Commenting on the new work, Corona’s global brand VP, Felipe Ambra, said: “Corona embraces the outdoors in everything we do, because we believe that outside is where people best disconnect and relax. The feeling of the sun is one of the things that people love most about the outdoors, and Corona is always innovating to remind them of that feeling.”
