Independent marketing agency Little Village Creative (LVC) has announced the appointment of Gemma Browne as general manager.
Gemma joins the agency with over 14 years’ experience across social, performance and digital strategy, having worked across delivery and operational functions within high-performing agencies.
“We’re bloody happy to have Gemma join us off the back of recent growth, and to support our goals for 2026 and beyond,” said Carolyn Stebbing, founder and managing director of Little Village Creative.
“What’s been particularly exciting is that this growth has come as much from existing clients expanding their remit with us as it has from new business,” she said.
“With the work ahead this year, we need to make sure our operations are as sharp as possible. That’s not my strength, but it’s very much Gemma’s, which makes this the perfect time to bring someone of her calibre on board.”
Across her career, Gemma has worked with a broad mix of national and international brands spanning FMCG, hospitality, tourism, luxury, events and B2B, including Red Rooster, AC/DC, AFL Women’s, Bang & Olufsen, Spirit of Tasmania, Costa Group, Church & Dwight, Westpac and Cricket Australia.
She has also led social and performance marketing client-side for The Australian Ballet playing a pivotal role in maintaining audience engagement during COVID lockdowns, including launching their inaugural Digital Season.
Gemma has held senior leadership roles across Australia and New Zealand, driving systems, teams and performance, including general manager at Kill Boring Dead, head of growth & operations (SMB) at Socialites Group, and managing partner at Loud Days.
Her career highlights include leading major operational transformations that improved efficiency and scalability, including a 60 per cent reduction in reporting time through AI and automation and a 220 per cent increase in operating profit following a business restructure. She also played a key role in preparing an agency for acquisition by enhancing operational performance, scalability and overall business readiness.
“When I offered Gemma the role, I told her I’d be [expletive] mad not to hire her, and it’s proven to be true,” Stebbing added. “She’s only been with us a short time and we’re already seeing the impact.”
In her role as general manager, Gemma will oversee operations across the agency, with a focus on strengthening systems, improving efficiency, and supporting the team to deliver high-quality work at scale.
Gemma’s appointment also reflects Little Village Creative’s commitment to supporting working parents. The agency said the role has been designed as “a part-time, flexible position.”
“I’m incredibly excited to be joining Little Village Creative as general manager. This role represents a meaningful next chapter for me; one where I can continue to grow my career while embracing the flexibility that comes with returning to work as a parent. I’m especially excited to play a key role as the agency moves into its next phase of growth, and to contribute to building a business that not only delivers exceptional creative and digital work, but also supports the lives of the people within it,” she said.
“I’m really grateful to be surrounded by an incredibly talented and supportive team led by Carolyn.”
