(L:R) - Liam Garrett, Jessica Torstensson, Shai Luft & Ori Gold.

Media agency, Bench Media has appointed Jessica Torstensson to the newly created role of client growth director. Torstensson also joins the agency’s senior leadership team, reporting directly to Ori Gold, CEO and co-founder.

In her new role, Torstensson will lead Bench’s new business and client growth agenda, strengthening how the company shows up in market and shaping the long-term partnerships it builds with ambitious brands. Her remit spans guiding client growth strategy, elevating Bench’s industry presence, and building senior client relationships while focusing on client outcomes that define Bench’s next chapter as the agency continues expanding its full-service offering.

Bench Media CEO and co-founder Ori Gold said Torstensson’s appointment signals the company’s next phase of growth and its commitment to becoming a full-service media powerhouse in the Australian market.

“Over the past 18 months we’ve built real momentum, expanding into a full-service offering, launching new capabilities, and partnering with some incredible brands. Jess joins at exactly the right moment, bringing the seniority and strategic depth to strengthen our partnerships, lift our market presence and deliver even greater value as marketers look for sharper strategy and measurable outcomes,” he said.

“She’s spent many years creating integrated media solutions and partnering closely with brands across automotive, retail, FMCG, finance and technology, driving growth for BYD, McDonald’s, BlueScope Steel, Zambrero, Pet Circle, ubank and Chartered Accountants. Jess is focused, straightforward and ambitious, which is a great cultural fit for Bench and a strong addition to our senior leadership team as we accelerate into the next phase of scale.”

Torstensson joins Bench Media with 20 years of experience across the media and marketing landscape, having held senior roles at leading agencies and building a strong reputation for driving business growth through strategic leadership and client-centric thinking. She has held senior positions at Atomic 212°, CHEP and OMD, leading portfolios of high-profile clients and delivering innovative and commercially strong solutions through fresh thinking and a confident approach to media, planning and strategy, including major pitch wins and multi-channel transformations.

She comes after recently completing four months with Yango as a client partner, with the role of leading the BYD account.

“Bench has built something special in this market, a business that’s agile, ambitious, and deeply focused on client impact. I’m thrilled to be joining at such a pivotal time in its growth journey and am looking forward to helping build on the momentum the team has created and shaping what client growth looks like for the next few years,” commented Torstensson, on her appointment.

“The addition of a dedicated Client Growth Director underscores the agency’s commitment to delivering greater value and long-term growth for our clients. We can’t wait to see the difference Jess brings and we welcome her to the team as we continue building a category-leading independent media agency,” concluded Gold.

The appointment is effective immediately.
