Bankwest’s 11.50% Rate Promotion Has Some Very Specific Strings Attached Via Bear Meets Eagle On Fire

Bankwest has launched ‘Interesting Rates’, a new promotion offering a select group of customers the chance to win a special 11.50 per cent p.a. savings interest rate based on some very specific personal attributes.

Created by Bear Meets Eagle On Fire, the promotion has continued Bankwest’s unconventional approach and is designed to draw attention to its competitive, everyday savings rate of 5.7 per cent p.a. – which is available to everyone.

The first burst of ‘Interesting Rates’ requires participants to ‘be into’ double denim, fond of rhinestones, and be somewhat argumentative. Two, equally playful and niche rounds of ‘Interesting Rates%’ will follow in October and November.

“For a lucky few there’s an epic promotional rate up for grabs, but at the heart of the campaign is Bankwest Easy Saver, with a competitive 5.75% introductory rate, and the flexibility and access customers want from a digital savings account,” said Bankwest general manager marketing and communications Rachel Aikin

“It’s rare to find a brand that’s so willing
to try and do things differently. ‘Interesting Rates’ is just another example of Bankwest understanding the power of that approach and backing an idea that might’ve seemed a bit crazy at first,” said Bear Meets Eagle On Fire chief creative officer Micah Walker.
