AMI Marketing Excellence Gala

AMI Marketing Excellence Gala

The Australian Marketing Institute (AMI) prepares to welcome around 500 industry professionals as they gear up for this year’s Awards Ceremony and AMI Marketing Excellence Gala due to be held at Pullman Melbourne in the Park on 16 October 2019.

Each year the AMI Awards celebrates campaigns from a diverse range of companies with varying resources, innovative strategic approaches and that target a wide range of local and overseas audiences.

AMI chairperson, Lynda Cavalera, explained: “Open to everyone, the AMI Marketing Excellence Gala is being held in Melbourne with hundreds of industry professionals expected to attend. It’s the night of nights for marketing professionals to recognise and celebrate marketing excellence across Australia, catchup with peers, and network. If you’re a marketing professional, academic or industry partner you don’t want to miss out, so I recommend you get in early and secure a spot.”

With 18 categories, 7 special awards, 120 judges and over 200 entries, the merits of each submission are assessed by considering the different B2B & B2C metrics and success factors as well as the linkage between strategy, execution and outcomes achieved. Winning entries are then selected after undergoing a transparent and rigorous judging process.

Past winners have included Tourism Australia, who won the coveted Marketing Team of the Year award; Braveda, Agency of the Year; and Mater Education, Marketing Campaign of the Year.

Other award winners included Lisa Ronson, who took home the CMO of the Year award; Nicola Hepenstall was awarded Certified Practising Marketer (CPM) of the Year, while Chrissie Maus (Chapel Street Precinct Association) was recognised as Feature Leader of the Year.

Mark Ritson was presented the Sir Charles McGrath award in recognition of his experience and contribution to the marketing industry over the past 22 years.

In the lead up to the AMI Awards Ceremony, networking events are being held across Australia to announce the finalists in each state. While the finalists for New South Wales and Victoria have already been announced, the next event is set to take place in Perth 31 July 2019 at Northbridge Brewing Co.

AMI also offers a range of tailored state and national-based Awards Sponsorship packages to companies, enabling them to reach their target audience and showcase their brand to the industry’s key decision makers.

Sponsoring the AMI Marketing Excellence Gala provides opportunities for businesses to form long term relationships with potential customers.

This year, AMI’s sponsors include APPA, PowerfulPoints, AMSRO, UVideo, Red Tomato, Vetassess, Engine and Pitney Bowes
