The Australian Association of National Advertisers (AANA) has appointed Jane King as director, member engagement and marketing, a pivotal role in driving the organisation’s ambitious growth strategy.
King’s expanded role replaces Stacey Knox, who was with the association for 10 months.
With more than 25 years’ experience across marketing, media, and brand leadership, King brings expertise in building commercial and creative growth for some of Australia’s most recognised brands. A well-known figure in the marketing industry, she is an alumni of The Marketing Academy and has held senior roles at Cartology (Woolworths Group), Val Morgan, APN Outdoor (JCDecaux) and other organisations.
In this role, she will lead member engagement and member experience, as well as brand, marketing and events—ensuring AANA continues to deliver value for members and maintains its position as a leading marketing industry body in Australia.
“I’m thrilled to be joining the AANA at such an exciting time for both the organisation and the industry,” commented King following her appointment.
“As a marketer, I understand the challenges of the ever-changing industry and the pressures marketing teams are facing. The AANA plays a vital role in uniting marketers, driving effectiveness, and championing responsible growth across our industry. I’m passionate about helping to grow the industry I love, creating meaningful opportunities for members to connect, learn, and lead together.”
“We are super excited that Jane has joined the AANA team. With her deep knowledge of the media and marketing landscape, extensive network, and genuine passion for what we do, Jane is perfectly placed to help drive our next phase of growth,” added Josh Faulks, CEO, AANA.
“She will play a critical role in strengthening the value we deliver to our members and amplifying AANA’s impact as we shape the future of a trusted and sustainable marketing industry in Australia.”
Nicolette Briscoe has stepped away from her head of marketing and communications role. Her last day will be in mid-December.
