Seven’s new military suspense drama mini series, Last Resort, premiered strongly in third spot last night to an audience of 1.2 million.
Production of the US submarine series, which takes us into the world of American Navy Seals, was cancelled late last year after 13 episodes. It is now being marketed in Australia as a 'mini-series'.
It was also the debut night for Ten’s Mr & Mrs Murder which scored 782,000 in 11th place. It was the network’s highest rating program of the evening, with Ten News at Five sliding in at 13th with 661,000.
My Kitchen Rules held tight in first place, pulling over 1.7 million viewers, while Nine News came in second with 1.2 million and Seven News took fourth with 1.1 million.
Nine’s The Block: All Stars sat fifth with audience of over a million, while Nine’s A Current Affair ranked sixth, just above Today Tonight.
ABC News, Home and Away and Nine’s screening of football film, The Blind Side, also made it into the top ten.
Seven scored the biggest share of total audience, taking 33.3%, while Nine scored 30.5%, Ten 15.6% and SBS 3.9%.
