Aerogard launches Mozzie Watch

Aerogard is launching the next phase of its ‘Reclaim the Summer’ campaign with Mozzie Guards set to patrol biting pest hot-spots over the long weekend.

The guards will be taking to the high Mozzie Index areas of St Kilda beach in Melbourne, Southland Parklands in Brisbane, as well as Hyde Park in Sydney to protect the public.

Training for the role involved learning the mozzie warning signs including watching out for the unmistakable Aussie mozzie salute of the frantic waving hand and reviewing the Mozzie Index to identify areas across Australia that have high levels of mosquito activity.

Victoria Janchek, brand manager of Aerogard, said: “The Mozzie Guards will ensure mozzies don’t spoil the fun for anyone this Australia Day.

“We hope that the rescue service enables families to stay out in the outdoors well into the evening and truly enjoy the national day with the help of Aerogard’s long lasting protection.”
