With the urgent business imperative to keep more women in our industry coming into sharper and sharper focus, B&T’s Women in Media Awards and Forum is back to do its bit to help.
Inspirational women are all around us – leading, innovating and mentoring the next generation, and B&T will recognise this with its annual Women in Media Awards, presented by Bauer Media Group.
Running for the fifth consecutive year, this program recognises those exceptional women who have achieved success in their professional arenas and celebrates their invaluable contribution through their leadership, innovation and courage. Categories have been updated this year, so please review closely before commencing your entries.
New categories introduced
Ensuring advertising, marketing and media is more reflective of the broader community is not just an issue for women. Consequently, on the gender equality front, B&T has introduced the Male Champion of Change category to the Women in Media Awards.
This award recognises blokes in positions of power who are making their workplaces and the industry one in which both sexes and thrive throughout their careers. This is a new category so think about the fellers who’ve done their bit to improve the industry and encourage them to enter.
Similarly, it’s not just the make-up of the industry, but the work it produces that can challenge stereotypes and create a new normal for the public. To recognise the agencies and brands already doing their bit, B&T is introducing a new category, Best Ad Campaign – Championing the Equality Cause, to the awards.
On-time deadline: Friday 7th July 2017 (5pm AEST).

Shortlist announced: Wednesday 9 August 2017.
Awards gala dinner: Friday 1 September 2017, Royal Randwick.
