Taking out the Design category win at the Cairns Hatchlings Awards up in Far North Queensland earlier this month, Oscar Kennedy (the thinker) and Luke Sikora (the tinker) spoke with B&T backstage after being rewarded for their hard work.
The pair both took out first place in the category by completing a high-quality creative brief in under just 24 hours.
For Kennedy and Sikora, the answer to humanity’s biggest brief was sitting locked to a bike rack on every city street corner in Australia. As Australians continue to automate their commute with Lime, but keep their charity donations on manual, Kennedy and Sikora identified that gap not as a weakness, but rather an opportunity.

Their solution was LimePrime with Humanity+, a subscription tier embedded directly into the Lime app. It would raise funds for the United Nations with every single ride. Journey updates, a donation tracker, and a dedicated Humanity+ route turned an everyday mindless transaction into an act of solidarity.
When asked to describe what they do in their roles, Kennedy said: “We do a lot of weird and wacky stuff and just merge all our roles together really.”
“As Oscar said – we tink, we think, and we muck around with things and have a bit of fun. We try not to take things too seriously, but it’s the equal measure in magic coming together,” Sikora added.

The pair both flew in from Sydney, but have an office in Cairns, called the Far Far North – which according to them “is pretty much a pub”.
“We started that up but I think it’s closing down today,” they said. “Unfortunately due to budget cuts, it turns out you have to make a revenue to keep it open, so turns out we aren’t actually keeping it open for this week.”
