Independent media agency Advertising Advantage (ADAD) has been appointed by second-hand fashion marketplace Vinted to lead its Australian media strategy as the business prepares to enter the local market.
The appointment will see ADAD responsible for media strategy, planning and buying, supporting Vinted’s launch and ongoing growth in Australia.
Founded in Lithuania, Vinted has grown into one of Europe’s largest online marketplaces for second-hand fashion, operating across more than 25 markets and connecting millions of members through the buying and selling of second-hand fashion and consumer goods.
Australia represents the company’s next stage of international expansion, with the business looking to build awareness, acquire members and establish a strong local community.
“Australia presents a significant opportunity for Vinted as we continue our mission of making second-hand the first choice worldwide. We were looking for a media partner that understands the Australian landscape and can help us build awareness efficiently while supporting sustainable long-term growth. ADAD demonstrated both the strategic thinking and local market expertise we’re looking for as we prepare to launch,” said Vinted senior offline specialist Danielius.
“Vinted has built one of the world’s most recognised consumer marketplaces by creating genuine value for both buyers and sellers. As Australian consumers increasingly embrace resale, there’s a real opportunity to establish Vinted as the destination for second-hand fashion. We’re looking forward to working closely with the team to deliver a launch that builds both awareness and long-term growth,” ADAD chief commericial officer Matt Kitchner added.
