Vogue Australia’s ‘Forces of Fashion’ will return to Sydney on Wednesday, 3 February 2027, presented with the Sydney Opera House.

Anna Wintour, Condé Nast’s chief content officer and Vogue’s global editorial director, who launched the global conversation series in New York in 2017, is the first speaker announced.

Following a landmark debut this past year, the second Australian edition celebrates innovation and creativity, bringing together some of the world’s most influential voices across fashion, film, music and culture.

“There are so many influences and new ideas being expressed in fashion right now, and so it’s the perfect time for an event like Forces of Fashion,” said Wintour.

“I’m delighted Vogue Australia will be bringing Forces back for a second edition in Sydney – which is a sign of the energy, curiosity and creativity of Australia’s growing fashion community. I’m looking forward to coming together next year, talking about all the ways fashion has been changing, innovating and moving global culture forward.”

The half-day summit at the Sydney Opera House will feature discussions giving insight into how today’s most influential thought leaders approach their work and shape the global conversation. Further local and international talent will be announced in the coming months.

Paspaley, Australia’s most prestigious luxury brand, returns as Vogue Australia’s major partner of Forces of Fashion, Sydney, along with supporting partners Belvedere Vodka and Dyson.

Vogue Australia editor-in-chief, Christine Centenera, said: “I am thrilled that Anna Wintour will join us in Sydney in February when Vogue Forces of Fashion returns for another year. Vogue has always celebrated the world’s best and how they drive creativity forward. Our 2027 program continues this conversation with a lineup of people defining fashion and culture globally. We are proud of the impact of this event and look forward to welcoming audiences inside the world of Vogue.”

Vogue Australia editorial director and publisher, Edwina McCann, said: “We’re delighted to present Vogue Forces of Fashion with the Sydney Opera House for its second year. Following our sold-out inaugural summit, 2027 will offer audiences unparalleled access to the world’s leading creative minds, with content amplified globally across all Vogue Australia platforms. My sincere thanks to our major partner, Paspaley, for their continued support.”

Sydney Opera House head of talks and ideas, Chip Rolley, said: “From its founding, Sydney Opera House has been one of the world’s most exciting places to examine the ideas and people shaping our society and culture. It’s a thrill to welcome Vogue Australia back for this landmark event and, for the first time in our history, present one of the world’s greatest forces of fashion, Anna Wintour.”

Paspaley Group of Companies executive director, James Paspaley, said: “Paspaley is proud to return as the major partner of Vogue Australia’s Forces of Fashion and Summer Ball. From the pioneering work of our divers in Australia’s remote northern waters to the artistry and craftsmanship behind every Paspaley creation, our story has always been shaped by the pursuit of excellence and a commitment to continually advancing our craft. Together with Vogue Australia, we look forward to celebrating the visionary people and ideas shaping culture today and inspiring the next generation.”

The Vogue Forces of Fashion 2027 program will be amplified across Vogue Australia’s digital, print and social channels. Video will play a key role across long-form and social editorial, driving global reach and showcasing the program to audiences worldwide.

Following the day of discussion, Vogue Australia will host its second annual Summer Ball – an exclusive celebration of innovation and the power of collective creativity, spotlighting the trailblazing forces in fashion and culture right now.
