The Australian media and advertising industry is mourning the sudden loss of Kat Droulers, a widely respected figure known for her generosity, humility, and inspiring leadership.
As Queensland sales director, ad sales at Paramount Australia, she left a lasting impact on all who worked with her. The network described her as one of the “most generous, grounded and inspiring leaders” in the industry.
For nearly three decades, Droulers was a beloved member of the media landscape. Paramount said that “she understood that great sales isn’t about the pitch, it’s about people. She was a relationship builder, possessing that rare ability to transform business partnerships into genuine friendships built on trust, authenticity, and mutual respect”.
Her intelligence, industry knowledge, and grounded nature made her a beloved role model for countless professionals across the sector. Droulers was incredibly generous with her time, sharing knowledge and nurturing emerging talent with the same warmth and dedication she brought to every aspect of her career. She consistently treated everyone with respect, balancing confidence with warmth in a way that made colleagues and clients feel valued and heard.
As a mentor, Droulers was generous with her time, wisdom, and encouragement. She had an instinctive understanding of how to elevate those around her, approaching challenges with creativity, optimism, and an unwavering belief in her team’s potential. Her leadership style was built on authenticity and compassion, qualities that made her not just a respected colleague but a cherished friend to many across the industry.
For all of these reasons, Droulers was a worthy finalist at B&T’s Women In Media Awards, and we are deeply saddened to hear of her passing.
Her legacy lives on in the countless careers she influenced, the partnerships she nurtured and the standard of excellence and humanity she brought to every interaction.
