UnLtd Appoints Perth Board And Launches Good Deeds Virtual Volunteering

UnLtd has appointed its first Board of Directors for Western Australia and launched a virtual volunteering program to help charities with their marketing needs.

UnLtd launched its Perth operation in January with the appointment of Carol Morris as the General Manager for WA and the launch of the Big Clash cricket event in Perth. This month, it has appointed its Board of Directors consisting of Chris Eyres, WA State Sales Manager at SBS; Luke O’Sullivan, Managing Director at Initiative; Marianne Stelmach, Director of Sales at Nine Radio; Marissa McNish, Group Sales Director at News Corp and Martin Beecroft, Chief Innovation Officer at Meerkats.

The Board’s objective is to help unite and activate the Perth community in delivering high value opportunities for local charities helping children and young people at risk.

Marianne Stelmach commented: “I was in awe of the results that UnLtd has generated in our industry on the East Coast, so the opportunity to help unite us further locally and leverage our skills and talents for good was such a unique opportunity. We are a generous bunch but there is definitely more potential that we can tap into.”

Luke O’Sullivan from Initiative added: “I am truly excited to help extend the meaningful work UnLtd enables to support worthy charities and initiatives in WA. We have an incredibly talented and united local industry here in WA and mobilising their talents in areas that need support is a huge opportunity I am passionate to help support – as I know many others are as well.”

UnLtd has also announced a new nation-wide virtual volunteering initiative called Good Deeds, allowing people across the industry to use their skills for good. The program matches industry volunteers with bite-sized marketing projects to help UnLtd’s charity partners with their urgent marketing needs.

Carol Morris, GM of WA, UnLtd added: “We’ve all been impacted by the lock-down but we’ve been overwhelmed by how many people have reached out to us, despite their own challenges, wanting to help others. With most of us working remotely and many with reduced hours, we wanted to find a way to use our industry’s talent for good whilst helping our charities in this critical time. The Good Deeds project matches the talent to the need through quick projects that can all be done remotely.

The Good Deeds project is currently looking for a variety of skills ranging from video editing and graphic design to event and marketing strategy. The current volunteering opportunities can be viewed here.
