UM Australia has appointed Adam Krass as its chief digital, data and technology officer, a highly customised role working with UM clients, agency leadership and the skills offered by the wider Mediabrands group.
Krass is a customer, data and technology leader with more than 15 years of agency and marketing experience. He is adept at implementing client-centric strategies across multiple verticals and markets with deep expertise across marketing automation technology, customer identity, cloud computing and digital marketing. He also has a respected track record in leading high-performing teams and executing highly successful and award-winning marketing campaigns.
“We are thrilled Adam is joining us in this key role,” said UM Australia CEO Anathea Ruys. “He will ensure our clients and client teams have tailored and incisive digital solutions developed through media owners and the capabilities of the wider Mediabrands group. In particular our digital performance agency Reprise and the addressable activation solutions and advisory services available from Matterkind.”
Krass has been head of marketing technology at Omnicom Media Group’s Annalect since 2017 and prior to that head of data and operations at GroupM’s Xaxis. He is also a former national group sales manager and state manager at eBay.
Commenting on his appointment to UM, Krass said, “I am excited to be joining Anathea and the team at UM to partner with iconic brands and help accelerate their digital, data and technology capabilities. I have long admired Mediabrands’ strategy capabilities and abilities to execute industry-leading work. I look forward to building on that foundation to make digital the number one growth driver within clients’ portfolios.”
Krass takes UM’s data and technology lead role previously held by Maria Grivas who was appointed CEO of Reprise in April this year.
