Week two of The Block has begun with a bang, taking out the top spot as the most watched entertainment program of Monday evening. More than 2.1 million viewers tuned into the episode with 1.27 million sticking around long enough to be counted into the total TV national average audience.
In their second week on the show, the Blockheads are tasked with producing a family bathroom. If that wasn’t difficult enough, the waterproofing must be done on the Tuesday and not the Wednesday.
This means that the contestants only have two days to frame, sheet the walls and floors before the waterproofing must be done.
Waterproof Wednesday is no more, instead replaced with a diabolical newbie: Waterproof Tuesday. No pressure.
It was no surprise that the four teams jumped straight into it. But of course not before they had their first chance to suss out their rivals’ work from the previous week thanks to Open for Inspections.
The Voice on Seven hit all the right notes, pulling in a total TV national reach of 1.7 million and an average audience of 918 thousand. The night was stolen by 12-year-old Victorian Leyla Sabo, who secured a four-chair turn before joining Team Ronan.
Over on 10 its funny game show Have You Been Paying Attention? just missed out on the top 10 with a reach of 1.1 million and an average audience of 700 thousand.
