An award-winning filmmaker has launched a production company which partners exclusively with advertising agencies looking to produce commercials and online content for brands.
Ben Kumanovski (pictured above) recently won the Holden 7 Second Film Competition at Tropfest for his film In-Laws, about a defiant wife serving up fairy bread for lunch to the in-laws.
The win coincides with the launch of Kumanovski’s new commercial production company, Fussy Films – the result of many months of planning between the filmmaker, his wife Melissa and longtime collaborator Patrick Rohr.
“We spent a few months just thinking and rethinking our business name, and finally after feeling like nothing was right, it occurred to me how much of a perfectionist I was, and how fitting the word fussy would be for our production company,” Kumanovski said.
“I take great pride in my work and I wanted our business name to reflect a piece of me.”
Having worked in the commercial film industry for the past decade, Kumaovski brings to his new production company a slate of commercial productions, instantly building a body of work.
