Tonic Health Media Takes Healthy Living Initative To Brisbane Agencies

Due to popular national demand, Tonic Health Media, Australia’s largest health media network, will be hosting ‘Chew Up’ in Brisbane agencies.

Chew Up is the healthy nutrition program from Tonic’s Healthy Living series, which is offered to agency groups looking to support their staffs’ personal and professional development towards a healthier lifestyle. Additional programs include ‘Psych Up’ for mental health awareness and ‘Tune Up’ fitness training.

The first session of Chew Up in Brisbane took place at Carat earlier this month with Dr Norman Swan sharing an entertaining presentation on healthy eating, and his experience educating The Biggest Loser contestants on nutrition and lifestyle.

Gab Merrick, Carat Brisbane’s managing director, said Tonic’s Healthy Living series forms part of Carat’s wider staff support and professional development program. “At Carat, our priority is keeping our people happy and healthy – they’re our point of difference, after all – and integral to that is instilling a culture that encourages a balanced approach to life, both at work and beyond it.”

“Tonic’s Chew Up education program is a great initiative to add to the existing support mechanisms we already offer our team, from flexible working hours and free counselling, through to flu-jabs,” said Merrick.

Tonic Health Media commercial director Jack Mortlock added, “Health and wellbeing are now very mainstream concepts.

“On top of offering agencies and brands superior, place-based media opportunities in the health setting, we’ve introduced our healthy living series to give back to the media industry that’s fostered tremendous growth for us over the past two years.”

“Chew Up is a great way for agency staff and managers to come together around a professional and personal development framework that is useful in an everyday context. We’re thrilled with how the program was received in 2016, and we look forward to getting out and delivering nutrition knowledge to even more agencies in 2017.”

Further Healthy Living initiatives will be held during Q1 2017. Any agencies interested in Psych Up, Chew Up or Tune Up sessions are encouraged to contact Tonic Health Media directly.
