Nine News gently trumped Seven News for top of the ratings with 985,000 viewers to 982,000.
A Current Affair also beat ABC News with 745,000 viewers to 663,000.
MasterChef last night bubbled and broiled to 599,000 viewers (as per OzTAM’s metro data), putting it as number one entertainment of the night.
It was a fairly quiet night of programming, frankly. The Chase had 552,000 viewers while Home and Away had 529,000 and Home and Away Late had 484,000 for Seven.
Also in the entertainment line-up was Nine’s Hot Seat, which had 520,000 viewers.
For sport Seven’s The Front Bar had 389,000 while Nine’s NRL coverage had 334,000 viewers.
The rest of the night was dominated by current affairs.
ABC’s 7.30 had 527,000 viewers and Foreign Correspondent had 360,000, while 10’s The Project and 10 News First had 448,000 and 392,000 viewers respectively
Seven also snuck in there with The Latest: Seven News which had 373,000 viewers.
Seven (all channels) won overall with a round 28 per cent of the daily share, followed by Nine (all channels) with 27.5 per cent. Network 10 came in third with 20.4 per cent of the share, followed by the ABC Network with 15.2 per cent and the SBS Network with eight point nine per cent.
