10 triumphed over its rival thanks to impressive numbers from Gogglebox (804,000) and The Bachelor (720,000).
Seven won the night with 30.9 per cent audience share (all channels). 10 was second with 24.6 per cent, that left Nine with 22.3 per cent, the ABC did 15.2 per cent and SBS managed 6.9 per cent.
Best for Seven was its 6pm news (968,000), Home And Away (553,000), The Chase (526,000) and The Front Bar (365,000).
Nine did well with its 6pm news (871,000), ACA (702,000), Hot Seat (492,000) and its NRL coverage of the Cowboys-Bulldogs match (268,000).
Other standouts for 10 included The Project (440,000) and 10 News First (376,000).
The ABC’s evening tan this way: 7pm news (659,000), 7.30 (554,000), Escape From The City (410,000) and Sammy J (303,000).
