With The Block out of the way, Ten’s The Bachelor refound some viewer love, pulling 835,000 and making it the most watched entertainment show of Thursday night.
Combined with Gogglebox (615,000), Ten typically gives rivals Seven and Nine a Thursday night nudge; sadly, the network falling agonisingly short of second spot last night.
Seven took the honours with 29.7 per cent of last night’s share, Nine stole second with 23.7 per cent and Ten was ever-so-close with 23.2 per cent. The ABC had 15.9 per cent and SBS had 7.6 per cent.
It was slow and steady that won the race for Seven, its night running thus: 6pm news (868,000), Home And Away (523,000), The Chase (496,000) and The Front Bar (362,000).
Nine’s 6pm news was its best, boasting 818,000 viewers. ACA had 675,000, The Footy Show had 472,000, Hot Seat had 412,000 and Driving Test had 262,000.
Over at the slightly-troubled ABC, its best was its 7pm news with 715,000. 7.30 – with an interview with departing ABC chairman, Justin Milne – had 572,000. Grand Designs Australia pulled in 484,000, Loch Ness monstered its way to 329,000 and Sammy J had 266,000.
For SBS, a repeat of Tony Robinson Down Under mustered 296,000.
