Multinational tech company, The Trade Desk has launched a new campaign to find Australia’s best digital talent, as local demand for skilled digital workers continues to climb amid a growing job market and low unemployment rate.

A recent IAB talent report found digital ad and ad tech industry job vacancy rates have more than doubled in the last year, reaching 9.8 percent.

So, what gives? According to IAB, this is due to strong market growth, recent changes in visa rules limiting the number of skilled migrants entering Australia, and record low unemployment that has created a critical squeeze on talent availability and an increase in the cost of talent.

To find Australia’s best digital talent, The Trade Desk – named one of Fortune’s Fastest-Growing Companies, no biggie – launched an Australian employment campaign this week sharing its values-based offering to the market.

“To attract the right talent, organisations must identify what their employees really want and reimagine their value proposition to deliver on these expectations,” said Trade Desk ANZ general manager, James Bayes.

“Trusted journalism, premium television and quality music rely on advertising to fund their content. This is why we’re committed to making digital advertising better, because the future of the open internet depends on it.

Bayes added, “We are a values-based organisation that is focused on preserving a free and open internet, and our people are at the centre of this mission.

“The skills and talent we want to bring in should represent those values as we continue to grow and scale our business.”

The campaign launches this week and will be supported by a number of executions aimed at educating potential employees on the core values of The Trade Desk.
