The Project’s Waleed Aly Won’t Be Going Anywhere

Journalist, Waleed Aly won’t be making a move to the ABC to host 7,30

Rumours are currently in hyperdrive over who will be taking over Leigh Sales iconic role on 7.30 at ABC, and Waleed Aly’s name has been popping up.

Keeping in mind, Aly already has a healthy relationship with ABC, and he makes regular guest appearances on both Insiders and Offsiders.

So, the rumours aren’t entirely baseless, and after all, his a beloved journalist known for his charming but captivating interview style, so it seems like he’d be a good fit.

However, The Australian has reported that Aly has resigned with 10, so he won’t be making the jump to the public broadcasting network.

This means Aly will continue in his role at The Project, and let’s face it; we will need him more then, now that Carrie Bickmore is taking time off.
