Seven’s coverage of the AFL’s Brownlow brought in 841,000 eyeballs, proving to be the rating kick Seven needed. However, it was slightly down from last year’s 889,000 eyeballs.
Still, Seven won’t be complaining too much about the downswing because Brownlow handed Seven the night on a gold platter even with Nine’s The Block pulling in big numbers.
Otherwise, Nine News brought in 857,000 viewers. At the same time, Seven News earnt 981,000 viewers.
According to OzTam’s reporting, Seven’s The Brownlow red carpet brought in 491,000 viewers! Proof football players get very easily outshone by glam women.
Meanwhile, 7News Spotlight managed 356,000 viewers – yes, there was plenty of talk about the Queen, but not enough talk about The Queen’s Corgis in my opinion.
Nine’s The Block as always, pulled in big numbers with 948,000 viewers – I would spend the whole 12 weeks just trying to learn how to fluff a pillow.
60 Minutes drew in 463,000 viewers – if only I could get the ticking sound out of my head.
10’s Amazing Race brought in 291,000 viewers, and The Project was back in fine form with 291,000 viewers – Lisa is very busy reporting on the royals! Meanwhile, Peter is at home reporting on how much we need to get rid of the Royals!
10 News First also got 241,000 viewers.
ABC has plenty to be smug about! Savage River has proved to be a drama worth watching; it brought in 283,000 viewers, and Insiders grabbed 275,000 viewers. But Spicks And Specks was the true star of the night with 446,000 viewers – it is delightful fun!
The Seven Network’s overall share was 38.6; meanwhile, The Nine Network nabbed 28.7 per cent of the share.
The ABC Network narrowly beat out the 10 Network nabbing 13.4 per cent. However, the 10 Network grabbed 12.2 per cent, and SBS grabbed 7.1 per cent.
