Aussie agency Special Group continues to pull some serious star power for its Uber Eats ads with none other than Sir Elton John and American rapper Lil Nas X fronting the latest instalment in the brand’s ongoing “Tonight I’ll Be Eating” campaign that will run in the US.

The work is easily Special Group’s most significant since the agency launched in the States in October last year.

And it’s hats off to Special for snaring the duo who star in a series of spots for the food delivery service that, it has to be said, are seriously camp and great fun too. There’s enough feathers and sequins on show to outdo an annual Mardi Gras parade.

There’s also a wonderful nod to nostalgia, as Lil Nas X dons Elton’s famous vintage Crocodile Rock regalia and the veteran singer/pianist responds in one of the rapper’s signature pink cowboy suits.

The duo – who are reportedly recording together – continue a long line of impressive “gets” for Special that have recently included none other than Sacha Baron Cohen, Simon Cowell and The Wiggles and even Kim Kardashian too.

Commenting on the new work, Elton said: “It’s been absolutely wonderful partnering with Lil Nas X, one of the most influential voices in pop culture, and with Uber Eats, my faithful favourite for everything delicious. From taking selfies to deciding to swap looks on set, working together has been a blast.”
