Creative agency The Works, part of Capgemini, and full service media and digital agency Slingshot have been recognised in The Best Places To Work 2021 study.

They both made the top 40 businesses with under 100 employees. The Works was 13th and Slingshot 19th.

The only other marketing/ad related to make the list in under 100 employees was L&A Social at 3rd.

Crossmark was the only marketing/media/ad business in the over 100 employees category.

The Best Places to Work are selected and ranked by WRK+, an Australian based global workplace research and consulting firm. It represents 15,689 Australian employees from across 112 different companies, and was conducted between September 2020 and June 2021.

Each company participating in the study for this list earns a score based on two factors. 60 per cent of the total score comes from employee responses to Engaging People, a 52-statement employee engagement survey.

The survey is distributed on a census basis and minimum completion rates are calculated using a 95 per cent confidence interval.

The remaining 40 per cent comes from the WRK+ Culture Insight, an evaluation of the organisation’s policies and procedures in specific people and operations practice areas.

Topping the list overall was Nous Group, a consulting organisation, followed by tech and software org hipages.

Jasmine Lansdell, general manager of people and culture at The Works said, “during a time of significant disruption and uncertainty for businesses and employees across the country, The Works is honoured to have been recognised as a best place to work for the third time.”

“This is an acknowledgement of the amazing team at The Works and their continued passion to ensure we not only build a strong culture, but maintain and grow it further, even during the times when we haven’t been able to be altogether. This independent recognition from outside the industry, is a testament to our talented team who continue to ensure ongoing success for themselves, our clients and the agency.”

Simon Rutherford, CEO of Slingshot said, “we are very proud to be named in the top 20 Best Places to Work. We base our decisions on our people first. Our view is that if we look after our people and have the very best people delivering the very best product in market, then the profit should take care of itself.”

“We have worked really hard to create a diverse and inclusive environment. A place where every person feels they can contribute in their own unique, meaningful way and feel safe and secure in doing so, and they do it well.”

“Our promise to our people is that we will propel them further, faster in their careers. We are invested in our people and therefore committed to making them better people and better professionals. Simply because better people make better Slingers.”

Network 10 Axes Gladiators

Alas, 10's Gladiators has gone as quickly as it came. Should make for a very wild garage sale, however.
