Radio Ratings: Kate, Tim & Joel Start Their Climb To The Top
By

The results of 2022’s fifth GfK Radio Ratings Metro & DAB+ have been released, and there’s been some big movers and shakers of late.

Getting the obvious out of the way first, Ben Fordham is still number one in Sydney’s breakfast radio, beating out Kyle and Jackie-O once again. The biggest surprise actually came from the drive numbers, where NOVA’s Kate, Tim & Joel snuck into the top three – is this the beginning of their rise to dominance among Sydney listeners?

In Melbourne, 3AW clung onto top spot despite breakfast golden boys Ross & Russell dropping closer to the clutches of GOLD 104.3 and NOVA.

Meanwhile, in Melbourne’s drive ratings, a close battle saw 3AW narrowly edge out the win over GOLD 104.3 by just 0.2 per cent!

Adelaide saw the ABC ADE lose a chunk of listeners. While the station managed to hold onto number one in both overall share and the breakfast timeslot, NOVA is getting ever closer in second – could we see them swap places in the coming months?

In Perth, there was some movement in the lower positions, but no-one had anything for NOVA and its whopping 17 per cent share.

Up north in Brisbane, NOVA continued to stretch its legs at the top, but B105 are catching in total numbers, drive and breakfast!

Will we continue to see these reshuffles in future results?
