Hundreds of Optus users are reporting issues with their voice calls, as the telecommunications provider issued a statement on its website.
Once again, phone users in Australia are experiencing problems with their calls as the Optus network experienced an outage on Tuesday morning.
Hundreds of people turned to social media to report they couldn’t make proper phone calls or to seek a solution to their problem, with the company unable to locate the source of the issue.

The problems began at around 7am and as of the time of writing (11am) have yet to be fully resolved, with Optus issuing a statement via their website addressed to all their users.
“We are currently experiencing a major outage,” the statement reads. “Your mobile voice service may be interrupted. We apologise for any inconvenience caused to you during this time.”
On the bright side, the network’s written message (SMS) and online services seem to be unaffected by this outage.
Optus also reached out to their Twitter followers making the following post via their profile: “We‘re aware of an issue impacting some Optus mobile customers’ ability to make voice calls,” the company said via a tweet.
We’re aware of an issue impacting some Optus mobile customers’ ability to make voice calls. We are investigating and working to restore services as a priority.
We understand connectivity is important and apologise for any inconvenience caused.

“We are investigating and working to restore services as a priority. We understand connectivity is important and apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
This seems to be an internal issue at Optus, as the Telstra and Vodafone networks appear to be operating without any problems.
