oOh!media Names Raechel Gavin As Chief People & Culture Officer

oOh!media has announced the appointment of Raechel Gavin as the company’s new Chief People & Culture Officer.

With over 20 years’ Australian and international experience, Gavin is a highly regarded leader with an impressive track record of achievement in human resources across a range of different businesses, including in the data science and media industries.

She will start her new role at oOh! on 13 September, following six years at Quantium where she built the HR function from the ground up. Among other notable successes there, she delivered an award-winning graduate program that resulted in industry-leading retention levels.

Prior to Quantium, Gavin was the people and culture director at Ninemsn for two years, leading the HR integration of Mi9 and the Nine Entertainment Group. Gavin was also group HR Director for Nova Entertainment between 2010 and 2013, where she provided strategic leadership across the HR function, helping create significant improvements in staff engagement.

Earlier in her career, Gavin worked for the Australian Government in Canberra, followed by various senior HR roles at Clayton Utz, Qantas, Herbert Smith Freehills and Bain & Company.

oOh! CEO Cathy O’Connor said Gavin had the ideal stature to lead the people and culture team as the company focused on new opportunities.

“I’m very pleased to welcome Raechel on board, as she has exactly the right kind of strategic leadership experience and commercial understanding to help us realise our ambitions as we continue to develop and grow our business,” O’Connor said.

“She is deeply committed to building a successful culture that allows colleagues to maximise their potential, whatever their role, and is a great fit for us. Raechel brings new ideas and a proven track record in delivering successful initiatives, and will be a valuable asset to our executive leadership team.”
