Atomic 212˚ has extended its media contract with the Northern Territory Government until 2027.
The Publicis-owned media agency has been working with Tourism NT since 2016 and the NT Government since 2018. It is understood that this is an extension of the previous contract that was signed in 2023, which was worth a combined annualised billings in excess of $10 million.
“We are delighted to receive an extension for our NT Government media contract. Atomic 212º has had an amazing 10-year association with the NT, which includes NT Tourism, NT Government and NT Major Events, and we look forward to it continuing,” an Atomic 212º spokesperson told B&T.
This builds on Atomic 212˚’s outstanding 2025, where the media agency won 31 pitches across the year. These accounts include Tennis Australia, Vicinity Centres and PayPal.
Last year also marked the first full year since Atomic 212˚ was acquired by Publicis Groupe.
On the comms front, Access PR has also had its contract as the PR AOR extended for a further 12 months. Andrea Kerekes, CEO and owner of Access PR confirmed the extension to B&T.
In a busy month for the NT Government, Tourism and Events Northern Territory (TENT), part of the Department of Tourism and Hospitality, is also seeking submissions from qualified brand strategy and creative agencies to lead a comprehensive brand refresh project to strengthen and grow tourism to Australia’s Northern Territory. B&T first reported this some time ago.
The ‘brand refresh project’ aims to “elevate the Territory’s distinctive identity and drives sustainable year-round visitation from domestic and international markets”, according to an RFT document.
The successful agency will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of the brand refresh, including but not limited to the following workstreams: brand discovery and audit; brand strategy refinement; and brand and creative platform development.
B&T has contacted the NT Government for comment.
