Nine Secures Broadcast Rights For The US Masters

The Nine Network’s Wide World of Sports has announced it has secured the free TV and streaming rights for the world’s most prestigious golf championship – the Masters Tournament.

The new partnership – beginning at this year’s tournament at Augusta National Golf Club in April – will see all four days of competition screened live and free on the Nine Network.

Fox Sports, who is the subscription TV broadcaster, will also screen the US Masters.

Nine’s Wide World of Sports will also provide three additional live video channels on 9Now: ‘Featured Groups’, ‘Amen Corner’, and ‘Holes 15 and 16’.

Tom Malone, director of sport at Nine, said: “We are incredibly proud to be partnering with Augusta National Golf Club to once again broadcast the Masters on Wide World of Sports in Australia.

“The Masters is the most premium golfing event on the sporting calendar, which aligns perfectly with Nine’s sporting rights and corporate strategy.

“While the Masters is no longer on the anti-siphoning list, our partnership with Augusta National to make free-to-air coverage available to viewers illustrates our shared goal of bringing the Masters to all Australians.”
