The joint venture between The Huffington Post and Fairfax Media, HuffPost Australia, has appointed former News Corp journalist Tory Maguire as its editor-in-chief.
As HuffPost Australia’s editor-in-chief, Maguire will be responsible for leading the editorial operations of HuffPost Australia. Working closely with HuffPost Australia CEO, Chris Janz, Maguire will define the digital platform’s local identity and voice, while leveraging the leading global digital capabilities of The Huffington Post.

Maguire has held editor and journalist positions with News Corp Australia for 15 years, including national opinion editor and editor of opinion and news website The Punch.
Maguire has been a commentator on TV programs including PM Live & Agenda (Sky News), The Drum (ABC), Sunrise (Seven Network), Today (Nine Network) and The Project (Network Ten).
Maguire takes up her role ahead of HuffPost Australia’s launch in the coming months.
