The triple j Hottest 100 is the sole Australian made site in the public voted best music website category at this year’s Webby Awards. The site was built by burgeoning independent creative studio Made In Katana.
Made In Katana director of marketing and strategy Laura Byrne said the nomination is a big deal for the company.
“It’s been a really exciting time for us internally, and to be nominated for a Webby Award speaks volumes of the capabilities of our close-knit team,” she said.
“It feels great to be recognised for our work on an international scale.”
Made In Katana have been honoured to be able to deliver a high-quality site for such a prestigious institution and are excited to be nominated in the company of Pitchfork, Beyoncé’s official site, Spotify’s ‘Year In Music’ page and Google’s ‘Inside Abbey Road’.
