Kirsten Hasler, Ikea’s head of marketing across Australia and New Zealand is to leave the business.
In a post on LinkedIn, the three-time B&T CMO Power List inductee said:
“After 14 incredible years of building the brand and my career within the big blue box, my time at IKEA is coming to an end.
“This decision hasn’t been easy. My journey here has been a bit like walking through an IKEA store; an adventure that’s been longer than expected, full of happy discoveries and when I’ve felt lost, helpful IKEA co-workers have pointed me in the right direction. Along the way I’ve learnt so much about marketing, brand-building, business growth and leadership, but best of all, I’ve made life-long friends all over the world that have impacted my life significantly.
“When I walk through the doors for the final time in September, I’ll do so feeling deeply grateful, knowing that my IKEA journey is complete and having gained many extra things in my big blue bag that I didn’t even know I needed.
“I can’t wait to apply everything I’ve learnt at IKEA to a new challenge, and I’ll be spending the next few months exploring new CMO opportunities where I can best add value.”
