Industry TV site TV Tonight.com.au has unveiled the results of its “worst awards” for 2016 and it’s all bad news for Channel Nine.
Today host and new bachelor Karl Stefanovic was voted the worst male personality on Australian television and the most over-exposed performer. While the network’s 60 Minutes kidnap fiasco was voted the year’s biggest TV blunder, apparently winning in a landslide.
The poll of TV Tonight readers also voted Nine’s Married at First Sight as the worst locally made program, although Seven’s disastrous Zumbo’s Just Desserts was a close second.
In the coveted “worst female personality” Sunrise’s Sam Armytage once again took home the gong, having won it the year previous.
