In True Aussie Style, Australian Lamb Is Roasting The Novak Djokovic Saga

If there’s one thing you can count on Aussies to do it is take the piss. So it makes perfect sense that Australian Lamb is having a crack at recently deported tennis star Novak Djokovic.

Meat And Live Stock’s Australian lamb ads are an Aussie institution and they rarely disappoint thanks to The Monkeys – let’s face it they are always fun, delicious and really do make you feel like lamb chops.

Naturally, it has taken the opportunity to capitalise on the never-ending Djokovic drama. Here at B&T, we love when marketing is both effective and topical!

On Tuesday, Meat Live Stock Australia debuted a mobile billboard that read: “Everyone’s welcome at our BBQ. Not Djoking.”

Get it? – cute. and clever.

And where did they debut this billboard? You may ask, -The Australian open of course – you know where Djokovic was meant to be playing before he got kicked out of the country – simply genius.

It was also nice to see while the billboard was fun it didn’t step into mean spirited – just good old fashion Aussie humour.

It will be interesting to see if the campaign now goes even more viral.
