Liquid Death has caused a stir online for a “terrifying” AI ad that aired during the Winter Olympics and has since disappeared after the fact.
During the Winter Olympic women’s figure skating on Peacock—an American streaming service from NBCUniversal—Liquid Death aired a bizarre AI-generated spot featuring a figure skater who morphs into a red-eyed demon.
The spot opens up with an AI figure skater who states, “Hey, I’m not real. I’ve been created by artificial intelligence, so has my artificial mother of there cheering me on. But don’t be artificial like me, instead reach for an iced cold soda flavoured sparking water from Liquid Death.”
From here the spot takes a terrifying turn. The camera zooms in on the figure skater as she looks the viewers dead in the eye and makes what a lot of people have labelled an insensitive remark.
“You won’t believe it’s not soda, but you might believe that I’ll be the end of humanity.”
Both the figure skater and here AI Mum proceed to tear the cans apart with their bare hands.

From here the figure skater morphs into some sort of red eyed demon, spinning around and laughing at her own remark.
The bizarreness doesn’t stop with the end of the ad however. The AI spot has since disappeared into thin air with little to no trace of it existing online. Liquid Death has not published it on any of its social media channels, made no mention to it, and if you find it online it is usually just someone recording it on their TV and only catching half of it.
By keeping the ad off its channels, Liquid Death has fuelled confusion, specifically on Reddit threads.
“My internet searches have been gaslighting me!! I was looking for this ad to show to my boyfriend. Just like you I saw it late at night while re-watching Olympic coverage. No evidence of it existing!! It’s so bizarre!!” one user said.
Another Reddit user shared a similar opinion: “Omg I just saw this ad and it was terrifying. I can’t find it ANYWHERE”.
B&T contacted Liquid Death for comment.
